go glam or go home
When we were asked to take part in an uber-chic, super-luxurious winter wedding at the newly opened Liberty Hotel
in Boston, it was pretty much a no-brainer. Sleek setting? Check. Glam bride? Check. Amazing rentals? Check and check.
We often have Boston brides reach out to us for their wedding rentals - our modern aesthetic will give a more traditional venue an easy update and our white-glove rentals (read: pristine products!) give our brides peace of mind on the big day. When our bride Amanda first contacted us, we knew right away she wanted the best of the best - what bride doesn't?
After working with the bride to determine her day-of needs, we established the reception's "must have" pieces and took off from there! Our lucite Ghost chairs and glass-topped Hourglass tables were the perfect match for the one-of-a-kind venue.
Looking to be inspired? Check out the photos below!
Clear and simple - our lucite Victoria Ghost chairs bring a modern touch to a traditional ballroom. Add in a little lighting and you've got a chic, stunning ceremony space.
The reception gets glam with moody uplights and votives. Our Victoria Ghost chairs play up the vibe by keeping things clean and elegant.
Our Hourglass Table offers a sleek alternative to a standard round - the glass top and delicate design are modern but don't conflict with the elements of a traditional ballroom.
No standard linens for this event! Amanda and Greg wanted to stand out and their venue, the Liberty Hotel, was the perfect backdrop for our one of a kind rental collection.
A streamlined tabletop keeps things looking sleek and provides even more room for guests to enjoy themselves. Warm things up with votive candles and chic rentals and the design will speak for itself!

taylor favorite: Frank Alexander NYC
This week we're excited to bring you some brand new photos featuring the work of one of our favorite designers, Frank Alexander
We've worked with Frank (and his right-hand ladies Laura and Erin) many times over the years and they consistently create elegant, eye-catching designs for all types of events. From weddings and bar mitzvahs to product launches and press events, they set the scene with our picture-perfect rental pieces.
Laura sent us some gorgeous shots from two of their recent events (courtesy of fab photog Allan Zepeda
). We love what they've done so check out their amazing work and see our products in action!
For a recent board of directors dinner, Frank and his team designed a dramatic backdrop behind the main bar. By stacking our Opus Screens and uplighting them in aqua, they created a display designed to capture the guests' attention.
Frank used our over-sized Windsor Banquettes to make the gallery space feel more intimate. These plush pieces were the perfect complement to the venue's marble floors while the aqua and houndstooth accents popped against the bright white tufting.
Frank played up a black and white theme at a recent launch party at the IAC Building
in Manhattan. Our sleek Black Runner Tables and Charles Ghost Stools offered guests a spot to perch and enjoy a bite throughout the event.
The space, known for its interesting angles and lighting, is the brainchild of renowned architect Frank Gehry. He also designed the white Gehry cubes featured in our rental collection.

They sure do make it look easy!

a chair to remember
We've been longtime devotees of Philippe Starck
, designer of the classically modern Louis and Victoria Ghost chairs that make up such an integral part of our rental collection. So when one of our favorite photographers covered a Miami wedding featuring the chairs, we were thrilled she was able to capture some great images of them being used in a variety of ways.
As some of our most popular seating options, the Ghost chairs are a beautiful alternative to the traditional ball-cane chair. The sleek design provides an elegant look without distracting guests' focus from the table-top, ceremony, or even from the bride herself!
The images below are from Scarlett Lillian
, wedding photographer and blogger extraordinaire, and are featured in the current issue of Weddings Unveiled
magazine. In addition to the great Ghost chair shots, be sure to check out the gorgeous pics of some of our other products, including the Madison Banquettes and Barcelona chairs!
In one of our favorite shots, the above photo showcases the Louis Ghosts as the chairs of honor for the bride and groom. The chair perfectly accommodates the bride's billowing dress and the clear lucite
allows every dramatic detail of the gown to be seen.
This picture-perfect ceremony shot ensures that nothing takes the attention away from the bride as she walks down the aisle.
Our pristine Madison Banquettes and white Calvin table provided luxurious seating areas for the pre
-reception cocktail hour.
Nothing spells celebration like a blissful bride! At the end of the night, the bridal party takes a moment to relax in our Barcelona chairs.

project wed: the New York Weddings Event 2011
Last night we had the pleasure of mingling with over 600 of New York City's chicest brides at the New York Wedding event
! Held at the Metropolitan Pavilion
in Chelsea, the event showcased the city's premier wedding vendors, including some of our favorite clients.
As an event sponsor, Taylor Creative provided two fabulous seating areas at the center of the space, in addition to a 24' by 12' bar and a scattering of our gorgeous Glass Highboys. Brides-to-be enjoyed a spot to sit, chat and compare notes on caterers, planners and of course, amazing rental options.
The night's biggest draw was the pair of crackling fireplaces we displayed on our Chrome Nesting Tables. Situated against a wall of Shimmer Frames, these scene-stealers were the center of attention, providing brides with a new vision for their weddings as well as the perfect backdrop for an impromptu photo-op!
See the start to finish event photos below - from the beginnings of load in to the finished product. The amazing final shots are courtesy of one of our favorite photographers, Roey Yohai
Behind the Scenes: The new purple Lounge Modular collection and Boheme Stools are some of the first pieces to be placed at the event.
The Transformation: Later that night the collection brings a rich burst of color to the show floor.
Behind the Scenes: Our white Social Banquettes and Tyler Chairs create an intimate seating area. In the background, you can see our amazing delivery team setting up the rest of our pieces!
The Transformation: While the collection may have looked stark by the light of day, at night the luxurious ultra-suede banquettes look stunning paired with our Reflection Side Tables.

a glowing affair
While we've been lucky enough to take part in a number of fantastic weddings over the years, we recently helped create one of the most elaborately constructed affairs we'd seen in a long time.
The lavish wedding celebration was held on Ellis Island and was meticulously planned and designed by two of our favorite clients, Olivier Cheng Catering
and Van Vliet and Trap
. The two transformed the venue with glowing décor and featured a beautiful arrangement of our round Hourglass Tables and clear Ghost Chairs to light up the room.
Given the island's restrictions on bringing products into the venue, our crew only had two hours to unload, place and perfect furnishings for over 350 guests! This would be a massive undertaking for any vendor but with everyone involved working in tandem, we were able to pull it off without a hitch.
We field many questions from clients but some of the most frequent concerns are regarding our delivery staff - many brides are worried about their rentals arriving on time and in good condition. At Taylor Creative we are known for our white-glove customer service! From order placement and product quality to our amazing delivery team, our experience providing rentals for A-list events over the last seven years enables our crew to handle anything and everything, even an event like this.
Thanks to a video captured by the amazing folks over at Christian Oth Studio
